An orphan is better than a toxic family member!
A few days back met a couple. The coincidence was top-notch she was an orphan and he was a family guy. That means he lives with his family. He marries her and brings her home. Later on, the family was not so comfortable with her status. They used to tease her for being an orphan. She did ignore this many times for the sake of his love. But one day she spoke about it.
He also knew this thing. And there was a war! A verbal war in between the family. The elder sister and brother are as shameless as they can, I must say. As per they both telling me the story no one should get that kind of mom-dad, to be frank. They were doing a hell of a lot of wrong things. Finally, within a week they move to the other house. At his friend’s house on rent. Both were earning so they decided to move forward.
The thing she describes to me is that even she has grown up in an orphanage. She never feels humiliated by any of the people over there. Not even with her friends. She says no doubt some families treat you so well until some relatives push their noses in their life. So they do change in a certain period. To get humiliated and to see the daily violence in front of us, whether it’s verbal or physical.
It’s better to be an orphan than to be a family member. Because there are no burdens, no expectations, no peer pressure of any kind, no fake love at all. I know some people might get affected by it, they will say it’s a blessing to have a family. But not every family is family. They pretend to be a family for the sake of society. Not for their own children, sometimes not for even themselves. Sad but it is the truth.
