A glimpse of a Smile that never fades away
“Hey dude, Happy Birthday!” “Thanks, man!” It was no ordinary day it was a birthday. So in the early morning while getting ready to go out to the temple. Hence it was the birthday phone was ringing constantly with popping loads of messages. Those also messaging who left you out a whole year from their contact. It Was fun to react to them. But genuinely never thought something like that would happen what happen on the staircase of the railway platform. A glimpse of a smile.
While rushing towards the station. who would have thought of someone stranger will interact with you in a manner you will never forget? Na Na, it was not bad or negative. It was fun kinda moment. We often think there will be less rush while Saturdays and Sundays. And that same thing was there on that exact day.
After walking towards the bridge and then moving to the ticket counter. Waiting for the train to arrive on the platform. And the indicator goes blank. Suddenly announcement happened, “Platform Number 3’s Train is now arriving on platform number 5. Sorry for the inconvenience.”
It was totally irritating and damn man! Have to walk now to another approx 20-30 stairs. Same as on that side to get down. Hush! There was a smile on the face, it was a smile of irritation. The noisy smile can occur at that time only. But while going up there was a girl coming down staring and smiling. Thought come out suddenly, is that because of the irritating smile? She was still smiling till we meet each other at the same level of the stairs. Finally, she was near and she said “Tavka Distoy! yaar”
Those words that smile and those expressions were lit. She went away and so did I. But that face and that incident of glimpses were like a small gift of compliments on a birthday. A Glimpse and the shortest complimentary meet we can say. A moment to cheer in life.
